Our COVID-19 Percautions

To our loyal Derailed customers,

As the situation with Covid-19 continues to evolve, we wanted to reach out to you about what we are doing here at Derailed to support you if you are to venture out while you still are able.

We are following procedures outlined by the CDC and regulatory agencies closely. As details continue to emerge we want to share with you the additional steps we are taking to provide the safest environment we possibly can for our Derailed family, our guests and our community.

  • We are conducting regular and very frequent disinfecting of high-touch, high traffic areas, including thorough frequent cleanings of tables, chairs, menus, hand rails, door handles, bathrooms and all surfaces handled by public.

  • Latex glove uses at all times, by all staff

  • We are suppling hand sanitizer for public use and encouraging all public to wash their hands per CDC standards (20+ seconds)

  • We have removed several tables to create social distancing

  • We are washing and sanitizing flatware and barware 3x using high temperature dish machines

  • We are offering plastic utensils, plastic cups and straws in place of regular flatware and glassware if you so chose

  • We are using one time use paper menus

  • Sanitizing our coated drink menus after each use

  • And of course, we are reinforcing illness prevention procedures with all staff, including frequent hand washing for 20+ seconds, glove use and avoiding contact with eyes, nose and mouth.

  • We want to assure you our staff has not traveled to any hot zones in the last 30 days and will not be doing so in the near future.

  • We will offer to go orders via phone call ins and payments over the phone via CC so you may just walk in and grab and go

At the heart of this is our commitment to create meaningful experiences for our guests and we are committed to continuing to do this safely and responsibly.

Please take care of one another and look out for a neighbor in need. An “every man for themselves” approach will only harm our community and all that we have worked so hard to make Durango what it is today.

Stay well and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

Best regards,

Lisa and Todd Gibson
